Girls Rec 3-6 gradesUpdatedSaturday December 7, 2019 byAndrea Denning.
The Upper Arlington Lacrosse Association (UALA) promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect while teaching the sport of lacrosse to players and coaches of all abilities and experience levels. Our goal is to provide Upper Arlington with a single resource that supports all aspects of the youth lacrosse community. The UALA Girls Program aspires to be inclusive regardless of experience and skill level, offering appropriate instruction to all who want to learn the game. All players are required to have a mouth guard goggles and a stick. Sunday April 5, the first practice for the K-2 program includes one hour of drills/stick work and a scrimmage.
Grades 3-6 schedule below:
March 23 First practice week with recreations teams
March 25 Wednesday LADM (April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, May 6, 13, 20)
March 29 First Recreation Game (all Rec games on Sunday April 5, 19, 26, May 3, 10, 17, 24)
Teams and practice scheduled announced mid-March before spring break. UALA is excited to announce that it has adopted the US Lacrosse Development Model (LADM), for all its league offerings. Grades 3-6 practice is twice a week with one practice consisting of a large group on Wednesday division practice broken down by age-level and the other is a recreational team practice. The players will focus on developing core skills through common drills and combined coaching. The second weekly practice are with the player’s Recreational League team and coaches. Players receive equal playing time in all Recreation League Games. All coaches are volunteer parents who emphasize skill development, sportsmanship, and teamwork over winning and scoring. In all UALA Recreational games, score is not kept.
